PESCADOR IN THE TOWN

The Story

We produced and directed this mini-documentary in partnership with PBS / Latino Public Broadcasting’s “Latinos are Essential” series. We were proud to share this timely story of Pancho Pescador, the acclaimed muralist and educator who spends his pandemic-era days bringing art and life to the struggling streets of Oakland. Connecting the many overlapping crises of 2020 – from COVID-19 to mass unemployment to the Black Lives Matter uprisings – Pancho’s story reminds us that artists are change agents and healers whose work is more “essential” than ever.
